Figured it out, with your help. Thanks, Martin. The "object in the pano" now works in both .swf and HTML5:

Re: VR object inserted into VR pano
I tried that solution, Hopki, putting the VRobject into a box in the skin. But I only want it to appear on a single node of the five-node project. I'll need to learn how to get the skin to change to suit the specific node.
Thanks,
Howard
Thanks,
Howard

VR object inserted into VR pano
I've been looking for a way to insert a VR object into a VR pano. Finally I saw this tutorial http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Pop-up_with_Narration and was able to create this five-node pano, with a "VR damselfish" swf objectVR as a pop-up in the coral reef node: http://www.allaroundne...

Re: Flash Player 11.5.502.149 problem
Thanks, Dave.
Perhaps it's a Mac-only issue w/the new Flash projector.
The sample low-res swf I attached doesn't have the other files within it.
Here's the complete tour:

Flash Player 11.5.502.149 problem
It seems that Adobe's latest version of the standalone Flash Player, downloaded today (v. 11.5.502.149, Macintosh) breaks some of the functionality of Pano2VR's scripting. In this low-res swf (see attached file) clicking the fullscreen button should make the map appear. It works in earlier standalon...

HTML5 Flash Fallback Player
Would I be correct in assuming that the new "HTML5 Flash Fallback Player" available in v. 4 does NOT offer the same download economy for the end user as does the older "multiresolution" tiles output option for the .Flash output?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Multiresolution Flash output vs. Mobile output in HTML5
Thanks, Dave. LOVED your Yucatan tour! But... I guess the answer is that, unlike with a multi-res Flash project, my iPad 3 will download the largest tiles, even if I've set the VR to display initially at a small size in a browser window. BTW, I've noted that with certain cylindrical panos the cube f...

Multiresolution Flash output vs. Mobile output in HTML5
I understand that by using a .swf made w/Pano2VR's "multiresolution" option only the smaller tiles will download for the initial 400 X 300 VR here: http://www.voicesfromthedawn.com/athgreany-pipers-stones/ and that the larger tiles would not be called until the user zooms in or clicks the ...

Re: "Error loading panorama XML"
Thanks, but my error was more fundamental, having to do with the naming convention between the .swf and the .xml files.

Re: iPad full-screen work-around, not working
I abandoned the iFrame solution, opting instead to use the PanoPress WP plug-in, which seems to behave fine in a div, unlike the iFrame. Thanks for asking.
Any ideas, BTW, why my full-screen workaround is buggy on the iPad?

iPad full-screen work-around, not working
With the PanoPress WordPress plug-in, this now works on all devices: http://www.voicesfromthedawn.com/city-of-shrone/ Because iOS has not implemented the Pano2VR's full-screen code, I've put in a text link under the VR for phone and tablet users to see the VR full screen by loading it in a new windo...

Re: iframe issue
I've fixed the "curly quotes" and now PanoPress does its thing:

I'm going to spend some time looking at this solution in depth. Thank you, Sam!

Re: iframe issue
Hi Sam,
Thanks for noting the "curly quotes" issue. I'll try again w/PanoPress later today. Just FYI, I think that I copied and pasted the shortcode right from your website.

Re: iframe issue
Hello Sam, I installed PanoPress on another site which uses the same WP Theme, but could not get it to work, even after deactivating all other plug-ins: http://allaroundreno.com/genoa-cemetery-test/ shortcode used: [pano file=”http://www.allaroundreno.com/wp-content/vr/genoa/cemetery/cemetery.swf”] ...

Hello, Did you ever find out why the VR in iOS was demonstrating the bizarre "growing" effect? I've found the same thing happening (only on iOS) with my experimental page: http://www.voicesfromthedawn.com/skellig-michael-vr-test/ The "growing" VR does not happen each time the pag...
