Re: Image quality issues.

Don't worry, the differences are quite obvious! You could try a different Interpolation Filter in Pano2VR by changing it in the Application Settings menu. The Mammoth Rock on the right looks oversharpened to me, but if that's what you like you could use Lanczos 2 or 3. What Interpolation Filter are...

Re: Image quality issues.

Your image is 8800 wide/ Pi (3.1415)= 2801.2096 You might try setting the cube face size to 2801px to increase the image quality. Of course... you are not showing us the two images.. so really can not tell for sure. "Slightly better image quality" is a judgemental term. Of course you prob...

Re: 3.1.0 64 still has non-functioning mouse wheel

Hi I would just go and get a cheep USB mouse to test with. I had a MS wireless keyboard and mouse with a very similar sounding name to yours, it used intelepoint and inteletype drivers for the mouse and keyboard, this was just over a couple of years ago now. I stopped using the drivers because of s...

Re: 3.1.0 64 still has non-functioning mouse wheel

Could be a mouse incompatibility problem. I use Windows 7 Pro 64 SP1. The keyboard and mouse are Microsoft Ergonomic Wireless Desktop 7000 (their name) Use their Intellikey and Intellimouse software and updates come down from Microsoft regularly. The mouse wheel behaves exactly the same way with IE8...

Re: 3.1.0 64 still has non-functioning mouse wheel

I tried everything you suggested except using IE9 which I will not install on my computer. I hope you are not suggesting that Pano2VR will only work on selected browsers. I use Firefox 3.6.18 and the mouse wheel only causes an occasional twitch in the pano. I set the sensitivity to maximum (50) and ...

Image quality issues.

I have an 8800x4400 equirectangular panorama. I set the screen size to 1600x1600. I set the cubeface size to optimal -- 2285. I set the Render Quality to 12 -- the highest. When I look at the equirectangular image in FSPViewer and compare to the output from Pano2VR -- FSPViewer has slightly better i...

3.1.0 64 still has non-functioning mouse wheel

3.1.0 64 still has non-functioning mouse wheel. When the mouse wheel is not inverted, the pano sometimes twitches. When it is inverted, dead -- totally. CNTL/SHIFT still works but those keys are not the first choice of people used to zooming/scrolling with mouse wheel.

Any word on the zoom problem being fixed soon?

There's a minor problem with the mouse wheel zoom. I was told that's being fixed for the next release -- as I remember. How's that going?

Re: normal.ggt (customizing)

You can do that by editing the .ggt file and putting the HTML you want in the place where it should go. Have you looked at the .ggt file? It's pretty easy to figure it out. Do a search for *.ggt where you installed Pano2VR. On my W7 system it's in C:\Users\<me>\AppData\Roaming\GardenGnomeSoftware\Pa...

Re: Bugs...

Hi If running from your hard drive is should be smooth and quick, the only way to satisfy yourself will be to put different coloured dots on the different cube faces levels. This will give you a visual indication of the change of tiles. [stuff deleted] The cube face tile size, does it matter? It al...

Re: Bugs...

I redid my test using the defaults suggested 3600 etc. I still cannot see the transition between levels -- it must be incredibly smooth. But its all local to my HD. If it was on the web, I'd probably see it -- yes? But I have another question: my pano is 14400x7200 -- I made cube faces from that pan...

Test Environment: W7 pro 64; 3.6ghz CPU; FF 3.5.12; 8400x4200 equirect. I think the corner folding bug is fixed. I could not find a trace of it in two different equirects. Good job! Also, mouse wheel scrolling seems smoother than before - which is good. I have the Visuals settings at 84 fps and qual...
