No tutorial yet, but you only need to make a cylindrical panorama and check "No 3D distortion" in the "Tile Settings" box on the "Settings" page.

The OUTPUT (+ most notable the .pqp project file, because this determines the base path) should be in the same directory. The input file can be somewhere else but I will think of a smarter solution for this (because in the begining there was just one file... but now its getting more and more ;)) to ...

This doesn't happen if you have everthing (project file, HTML, SWF) within one folder because then everything can be found within the "base path" which is the idea behind the software.

You only need the PanoTools pano12.dll for special tasks like 16bit/HDR remapping etc. the built in remapper should be faster and pano12.dll is not needed (anymore). Which version of QuickTime do you have installed? If its QuickTime 6.5 did you make a "Complete Installation"? otherwise some componentes are missing. Just a wild guess...
