Re: Displaying panoramas on standalone Android

I put together this page showing all the steps I took to get panoramas to display when stored locally on my S3.

http://www.dlsphoto.net/Tutorials/ViewPanoOnS3

These settings are probably not optimal, but they are a place to start since they work.

Re: Displaying panoramas on standalone Android

Kris, Where did you get this file? You are a Saint among men. WORKS FREAKING GREAT!!! I now have Flash 11.1 installed on my Samsung Galaxy S3. All my panoramas that were complied to work on either Flash or IOS now work great! The Flash version works! Sound works! Zoom buttons work! Where were you la...

Re: Displaying panoramas on standalone Android

Opera not only does the best job displaying panoramas locally, it does a better job displaying panoramas off of the web than the default browser. Opera is now my browser of choice for internet surfing. Opera You have to allow Opera to communicate locally. I could not find this feature in any other b...

Re: Displaying panoramas on standalone Android

I tried the browser you suggested earlier. The pano failed to load. I finally got Opera Mobile working. Everything works. It is much faster now than my earlier attempts. I had to tweak Opera as well as the settings in my Pano2VR project. One thing about Opera is that you have to calibrate your Gyro ...

Re: Displaying panoramas on standalone Android

At least Chrome tells me that the error is coming from Java. I know Chrome will not display the pano correctly, but at least I now know Java has a part in this error message. Sounds like the default browser will never work with HTML5 files stored locally (in the current version). Is there another br...

Re: Displaying panoramas on standalone Android

I was able to get Opera to work, but MAN IS IT SLOW!!! When using the S3 browser I get: Error:Error: NETWORK_ERR: XMLHttpRequest Exception 101 I had the same error in Opera. Allowing the file protocol fixed it there. The S3 browser does not allow the file protocol (file:///). I cannot find anywhere ...

Dolphin is the worst! I cannot get anything to display even incorrectly, let alone correctly.

Displaying panoramas on standalone Android

With Adobe dropping support for mobile devices, I am having a difficutl time figuring out how to get panoramas to display properly when the files are stored locally. Goodreader works great on my iPod Touch. I have tried Opera, Firefox and the built in browser but each has their own issues that preve...

Re: Anyone using leveling heads instead of ball heads?

I do not have any leveling device. I have my pano head mounted directly to the tripod. With the model Manfrotto tripod I use, it is so very easy to adjust the tripod legs. With modern stitching software, you do not need to be perfectly level. I get my rig close and level in the stitching software. L...

Re: Floating Nadir logo works in Flash but not HTML5

Converted the input to cube faces, then back. Fixed the issue. Floating logo now appears in both Flash and HTML5. Not sure what the original cause was.

Re: Floating Nadir logo works in Flash but not HTML5

It looks like your steps left out exporting the nadir, patching it, then importing it back.

I added the patch AFTER the hotspot/logo was defined.

I would be willing to provide all the files to you for this project, but not publically. Is there a way to submit privately? The file set is huge

Floating Nadir logo works in Flash but not HTML5

I have a pano where I patched the Nadir using Pano2VR's patch feature. I put my logo at the bottom of the pano. I used a hot spot to get the logo to appear to float. The logo works great in the Flash version. In the HTML5 version, the logo is nowhere to be found. In all my other panos where I did no...

Sorry about that. I missed the original question somehow. Seems this new perscription for my glasses is not helping as much as it could.

Re: How to make panos fullscreen on iPhone/iPad

Take the time to watch all the tutorials. Make sure you have a project open at the same time. Follow all the steps. You may have to pause the video in order to follow along. Close your project and try it from scratch. Go back and follow the tutorials with your project open at the same time again, ve...
