Re: Smooth scrolling HTML5 "responsive" pans?

Hopki, Sorry, I just looked at the video - trying to do things too fast. But that is NOT smooth scrolling to me. That is the user putting their mouse down and dragging the image around. What I'm after are the way the pans work in the old Quicktime and how they work in Flash. I know it can be achieve...

Re: Smooth scrolling HTML5 "responsive" pans?

Hopki, You are viewing the QuickTime version which does scroll smoothly - but alas, QT is not being supported, so I'm trying to get the same smooth scrolling results with HTML5, so that the pans will play on iOS devices and others.

Re: Smooth scrolling HTML5 "responsive" pans?

Hi Dave, I actually live in ID, not OR. Although I was born in OR, I couldn't stand the rain and moved to ID where it hardly ever rains and the sun shines a lot. So I tried a new pan with all your parameters and still not getting smooth scrolling on the HTML5 version. My image was much larger than y...

Re: Smooth scrolling HTML5 "responsive" pans?

Hi Dave, Thanks so much for sharing all your parameters. I'll take a look at those. For the time being, I did just upload an HTML5 pan so you all can see what I'm talking about as far as the LACK of smooth scrolling. Take a look at this one: http://www.mountainvisions.com/html5tests/CayuseCr2/Cayuse...

Re: Smooth scrolling HTML5 "responsive" pans?

Hi, Thanks for all the replies! Dave - your site looks great and your HTML5 pans scroll nice and smoothly - just what I'm trying to achieve! Your site looks just fine on my iPhone, by the way. For any of you wanting to quickly test your responsive web site, here is a great page that will show you ho...

Smooth scrolling HTML5 "responsive" pans?

Hi, I must be doing something wrong, because the HTML5 pans I have output do not have smooth scrolling like the Flash ones do. Instead you have to move the image with your mouse like you would do in Photoshop. On the krpano site they show pans that are smooth scrolling and supposedly HTML5. Is Pano2...

Side by side Flash panos

Hi, I did get some help from Thomas on getting the two side by side pans to scroll in synchronization. They could be a little smoother, but usable for now. I started with the basic info given on this page: http://ggnome.com/wiki/Synchronizing%20Panoramas Thomas suggested changing the code to this: /...

Re: Adobe's Action Script for side by side pans?

Thank you Hopki! I will check that out. In the meantime, I see that link to Erik's panos is not correct and here is the full link: http://www.erikleeman.com/HTM/english-showpano-1200-F.html?pano=AS3-FLASH10-preloader-SideBySide-JL&panorama_viewer=FLASH Later this morning, I'll get a chance to lo...

Adobe's Action Script for side by side pans?

Hi, Decided to start a new thread on this project I'm working on. And that is to get smooth scrolling synchronized side by side panos on a web page. I did contact Erik Leeman, who produced this great example about 5 years ago. http://www.erikleeman.com/HTM/english-s ... ewer=FLASH He wrote back and ...

Hi Betzelboo, I just looked at your pano with my Mac desktop and Safari 7.0.6 and the buttons on your skin work just fine for me. :)

Re: Smooth scrolling on side by side panos

I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this same thing with the same code and getting a better result than I am?

Re: Smooth scrolling on side by side panos

Hi all, Thanks for your ideas. I took the controller skin off both pans, reduced the cube face size down to 1600 pixels and am still have the same problem with that right hand side pan. Actually, the scrolling isn't all that bad, even with the larger file sized ones, as long as you are scrolling on ...

Re: Smooth scrolling on side by side panos

Hi Jim, Yes, this is all that I'm noticing as well. Maybe I should just take that controller off of that right hand pan - and maybe off both and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks for your thoughts!
