Re: V5 VR HMD files and How to.

Hi, Interesting development, I will dive into this now I have a little more time on hands after the season. Still a few questions that pop up. They might be answered as I go along. 1) For stereo pano's it is the idea to make them with Wims tutorial shooting around 50 pictures in portrait with the ca...

Re: To many files/tiles

Hi, Is there a way (or is it on the feature list) to encapsulate all those tiny files to an image gallery that can be handled as a single file or as one file per panorama ? I upload my panoramas by this way: 1. Pack all files on local computer into a zip archive 2. Upload zip file to a site by FTP-...

To many files/tiles

Hi, Browsed the forum and nobody is mentioning it. Since I've switched to multi-resolution panorama's the virtual tour performance is much better especially on small devices and with slow Internet, so this is two thumbs up for this feature. Drawback now is that when a tour is getting big, the amount...

Re: pin and align video question

Hi Jim, Thanks for your reply, it will help me to improve this pinned video which looks awesome and really adds some realism. I still have some questions left. The Windmill video is pretty big in resolution. It is also missing a couple frames to make it an entire revolution. I've regenerated the vid...

pin and align video question

Hi, I've followed the Pin and Align Video tutorial and tested it on my own project, its far from perfect, but with a little practice I can get this to work. The thing I'm uncertain of is the part where you import the patch in PtGui, you have to enter lens settings manual, what should this be ? The p...

Small bug in adding video content

Hi, Maybe a known problem, searching the bug-tracking database resulted in no hits. It's a bug that annoys me very much, so I think I should mention it here. It is present in pano2vr in all version where video content could be added. I don't want my viedi to be copied to the root directory of the to...

Re: Oculus Rift VR Support

I saw an interesting news item about Google and Mattel teaming up to blow some new life into the old view-master concept using a smartphone with a vr-glasses-holder. see: http://www.view-master.com/ The video also shows a concept where you can look around in a 360 sphere and when looking at hotspots...

Re: Batch Build crashes on 300+ files

Haha ... those places are on my whishlist :D I'm working with some local tourist bureaus and I'm making virtual tours of their participants. These are businesses like hotels, restaurants, campsites, shops even a shipbuilder like Royal Huisman for instance. All these tours are hosted on one server bu...

Re: Batch Build crashes on 300+ files

@Hopki ... ok thanks, I'll manage splitting it up a bit more in portions of 250 config files. @hum@no.id .... I don't like the nodes within a config file. Having a config file per panorama adds a lot of flexibility for making tours. 1) I can split and join tours very easily by only joining or separa...

Batch Build crashes on 300+ files

Hi, My biggest projects till now are virtual tours till around 150 panorama's and I never encountered problems with this amount of config files in the batch builder. But now I'm converting a 2000+ tour (77 individual tours in one tour) to multi-resolution and I get a system crash in the process. I d...

Re: Oculus Rift VR Support

Just for anybody who is trying to view panoramic images in The Oculus Rift (DK2). I found a very good viewer called MaxVR. Just put the screen type to "Spherical Panoramic" and load up your equirectangular images. It's brilliant !! Works with native DK2 support. Now I have to find a way to...

Re: Oculus Rift VR Support

Hi Jim. This sounds very interesting, I'm also looking forward to view my pano's with the Oculus. I just received it this week (DK2) and ran some demo's on it (I still have to try LiveViewRift), VR does have it's potential, making it 3D would be better but in 2D is a good start. There are some cardb...
