"Is there any way to make the play back smooth. This is far too choppy and doesn't look professional." You have obviously seen a panorama with smoother rotation.. but did not tell us about your experience with any detail. OK here I go again... "This is too choppy" is a personal s...

Yes, I have seen this type of thing before. Very unique. A fellow over in the Worldwide Panorama forum shot one like that and even stitched it. Used ptviewer.jar to display. And I really do sometimes think about just why I have spent several thousand dollars on lenses and cameras to achieve the same...

Yes, I would like to know the answer to that too. Had a client that wanted the 'blank wall' section hidden. So I limited the left and right travel distance... added autorotate. I autorotated alright in one direction.. bounced at the end.. and stopped. The sprite apparantly is not suited to partial v...

Using Flash - initial start point.. you can set the intial view in the QTVR settings tab. I think the start point for the 2nd image might be at the zero mark in the image. For example, the zero point is mid center of the image where it is on the horizon 50% down from the top and 50% from the left si...

Pano2qtvr will let you convert a equirectangular 2:1 like 2000 x 4000 dimensioned image into 6 separate cube faces. Left, back, right, front, top and bottom. Following that you can open and edit the bottom face (or any of the 6 face tiles). Once you are comfortable with the editing.. it will reassem...

Equirectangular means any image that has a 2:1 ratio image dimensions.

Spherical means that the 2:1 ratio image dimension is displayed spherically.. or mapped across the inside of a soccer ball.

Yes it is true that normally equirectangle images are displayed spherically.

Ok.. I got it on the second try as an email attachment. I saved it off to my harddrive. Opened to the 3:4 ratio monitor size.... rotated it very slow... and it was not noticable. Rotated it a bit faster.. then I started seeing what you were talking about. Small horizontal slicing or chops along the ...
