Pano2VR 3.b2: name of tiles folder issue
bug report Pano2VR 3.b2 When I output a multi res pano with " $n /c%c_l%r_%y_%x.jpg" for the file name of the tiles folder then the pano is not working properly. F.i. when I use an input image with the name "test.jpg" then, as expected, a tiles folder with the name "test&quo...

Re: [P2VR 3 B2] Multi-res mid-size Flash panos
Hello Judy, I tried it on a 1440x900 px monitor and the workaround with a very small tile size for level 1 and a high bias setting seems to work fine. The step between level 3 and 4 is well choosen, there is no visible transition between the levels when zooming in and out or when resizing the window...

Re: [P2VR 3 B2] Multi-res mid-size Flash panos
Hello Judy, I did some similar tests with multi-res panos and Pano2VR 3 beta2 and I found out that using the smallest tile size is not adding anything to the viewing experience because the flash player only shows the tiles that matches the zoom setting and monitor resolution. For learning purposes I...

Re: Pano2VR v3 beta2
Hello Gnomes, I have read that PNG is not accepted on v3b2 for Mac OSX and indeed my logo in PNG format is not inserted. I also tried a logo in TIFF format, although the image is inserted there is still something wrong because all transparent pixels in the logo are white.. Q) Is there a workaround i...

Pano2VR 3.0 beta flash panos white border issue
Hello Thomas, I found out that when resizing (by dragging the right bottom corner) of a Pano2VR 3.0 beta flash pano a white border of just 1 px width appears at the bottom and the right side of the pano, when resizing it a bit more, or a bit less, then the white border disappears. When the pano is e...

Re: SVG object
Hello hum, I am on OSX and Xara is "Windows Only" but I found a free open source app for creating SVG for all platforms, http://inkscape.org I tried it for making a small text SVG and I think it is easy to use, I guess for making complex graphics it takes more then a few minutes of practic...

Re: SVG object
Hello hum, Thanks for your explanation and the SVG example. I used Safari to see the image and to view the source code of the image, this is really complex stuff. Photoshop CS3 could not open the SVG file so I guess another graphic app is needed to create it. If source code is all that is needed to ...

Re: SVG object
Hello hum, Because I don't work with Scalable Vector Graphics I had to google to find out what SVG means and I found an interesting page that explains a bit about it http://www.planetsvg.com/content/svg-solutions-internet-explorer It seems that Internet Explorer without a plug-in is not supporting S...

Re: Generic range of tile sizes for mobile devices
This generic range of 8 different tile sizes, each with 32% more pixels and a corresponding max screen size approx. 1.3 x larger then the tile size could work. tile size, (size of tile with a multiply of 16), max screen size 600 (592) 780 690 (688) 900 794 (800) 1030 913 (912) 1200 1049 (1056) 1370 ...

Generic range of tile sizes for mobile devices
Hello Forum, When making panoramas for desktop monitors or laptop screens we don't care much about optimum tile resolution for all those screens out there and as long as our panoramas shows fine on large and small monitors basically any tile size from 1500x1500 up to 2880x2880 px is fine for a fulls...

Re: FOV difference between Flash and HTML5 panos
Hmmm... have you changed the "FoV mode"? Normally it should be the same. Hello Thomas, The FOV mode is for Flash and HTML5 the same, both are set to "Diagonal", I didn't try other modes. All other settings for tile size, etc are also the same. In case you need the project file f...

Pano2VR 3b v1502 nadir patch issue
Hello Thomas,
A small bug report.
When I apply a TIF logo with transparent pixels and a feather edge then the feathered edge is very dark in both Flash and HTML5.
When I convert the same logo to PNG then the feathered edge is fine in Flash but in HTML5 it is still dark.
Just a small issue..
Wim

FOV difference between Flash and HTML5 panos
When making a pano in Flash and HTML5 from the same source, with the same tile size, etc. the fov of the HTML5 pano is much smaller (zoomed in). I have to set the FOV in the parameters tab 35 degree more (70 for Fash versus 105 for HTML5) to get the same openings view. It is not a big issue but I ho...
