Yes- the Sunex might be a little easier to shoot - but you will get
very comfortable with the Sigma very fast.
It needs only 4 around - not too much worry about extra shots and has a much better resolution.

The RD8 is great and the NN too, so it´s a very versatile set you got.

The mentioned 400D- or equivalent- with a Sigma 8 would be intermediate.
