The positive impact of iOS 5 on the quality of iPad panos
Hello Forum, I found some interesting things regarding crashes and quality of Pano2VR panos with iOS 5 on iPad v1. 1) The number of panos with tiles of 960px that can be open in the tabs is now 5 without crashing Safari Mobile (was 1 in iOS 4.3.2), 2) Large tiles are not crashing the app anymore (I ...

.....GoodReader is a good app that will let you upload tours.... I can second Martin's advice, GoodReader is really great for showing a portfolio on iDevices. If you only need to show a tour a few times and then want to get rid of it then another option is to use iCab Mobile for iDevices. This inex...

Examples of HtmlCss3 panos without 10px overlap for iPad
Hello Forum, I guess you already know that when you output HtmlCss3 panos for iDevices the tiles are having an overlap of 10px. As Thomas explained on the PanoTools Meeting in Vienna, the reason for this is because some browsers are not capable of handling HtmlCss3 panos very well. To test this I ma...

Re: Pano2VR 3.1.0 released
Hello Thomas, Thanks for the much faster then expected release of version 3.1. I can confirm that the new "disable color subsampling" option to avoid color ghosting in anaglyph panos is working great :-) Up to a compression setting of 89 % the standard color subsampling for JPEG images is ...

Re: vrtour offline on iPad2
I have read this thread with great interest but I don't understand why the manifest time or date need to be changed to make it reload again, I mean, if Safari's file cache is emptied in the Settings app and if Safari's memory is free from the iOS with the red cross method then all files should reloa...

Re: HTML5/CSS3 iPhone 3Gs | iPad 1 loading time
Hello Eldariel, Your pano loads very fast on both iMac and iPad v1 (via broadband internet and Wifi) and is responsive immidiatly after loading. The tile size is fine (960px) so the only reason I can think of is that you have a problem with your internet connection. Btw, you made a mistake with the ...

Re: 360º Video Only Shows First Frame
Helo Juan,
I am not sure what is going wrong with your 360 video but it could be related with the html file.
I suggest you remove the first line of the html code (this is the line that defines the DOCTYPE) in a text editor and see what happens...
Success,
Wim

Re: 100% iPad detection and redirection JavaScript
Hello Hum, For a couple of reasons my redirect is the same for iPad v1 and v2: *) As far as I know there is no way to detect v1 from v2, *) The screen resolution for v1 and v2 is the same so if there is a detect option for v2 (that I am not aware of) then a larger tile size would be only useful for ...

Hello Hum, Take a peek in the html code and perhaps this is what you are looking for: http://www.dmmdh.nl/panos/fanotec/fanotec_series1_pole_panoramas/flash/index.html The default is Flash but the JS redirects to a version for iPad (tiles 960 px) and a version for iPhone (tiles 800-640-480px, size d...

Re: HTML5 panos less sharp than Flash equivalent?
Andrew, Your test proves that there are differences between the anti aliassing of the Pano2VR and KRPano htmlcss3 players. I agree it would be best to have options to set the amount of anti-aliassing but not just for the player but also for the creation of the tiles. I suggest you give my sharpening...

Re: html/css3 on Safari PC and new iPad2
Hello Dave,
I guess I am visitor #23
The pano runs fine and loads fast on my iPad v1 without crashes.
The fact that you didn't used a skin helped a lot.
I noticed that the pano is a littly fuzzy but apart from this I have no tech comments.
Best,
Wim
