Re: Tiles for gigapan node
I exported the gigapixel image from Photoshop, but then customized the skin with the Zoomify Pro application. Here are two others I shot w/my Gigapan motorized unit during the same trip to Anza Borrego Desert State Park (CA): http://www.allaroundnevada.com/fonts-point/ These work best if you click t...

Re: Tiles for gigapan node
Thank you! The VRs inside two of the tunnels are full spherical. The panos are all hand held, so some are kinda iffy. I was not keen on carrying my tripod & VR head for a 14 mile hike in the heat. The tunnel VRs are not accessible from the map, but only from the point-by-point navigation. Do you...

Re: Tiles for gigapan node
The tour is a mixture of cylinders and spherical (equirectangular) images. You can see the tour here; the VR tour does not yet include the gigapixel pano online: http://www.allaroundnevada.com/impossible-railroad/ On that page, you will find the gigapixel image (as a Zoomify feature) near the bottom...

Re: Tiles for gigapan node
The gigapixel pano is 50,000 X 12,084 px. I used the default Level Tile Size of 510 (auto). There are a variety of source image sizes in the project, but only one gigapan. Its tiles are different sizes, most 512 x 512. While the rendered project works fine locally, weirdly each tile of the gigapan I...

Tiles for gigapan node
Within a 16-node VR tour I'm using one node that is made from a gigapixel (Gigapan) image. The original image is 1.32 GB, and it took my Mac Pro 3 hours to create its 311,845 tiles. Each tile is only 8 KB, while the tiles of all the other nodes in the project are 35-45 KB. While the completed render...

Re: "No Incoming Hotspots" bug?
Nope.
This is an intermittent issue. If I re-open it enough times, it opens normally. Note: even when "no incoming hotspots" are indicated, the project renders normally.

"No Incoming Hotspots" bug?
My 30-node project worked fine yesterday. Today when I opened it, ALL the nodes indicate "No incoming hotspots" even though all nodes do indeed have incoming hotspots. Any ideas what may have happened? v. 5.0.1 on latest MacOS.

Re: HTML5 VR heats up processor
Hi Hopki. I'm speaking of loading a web page containing the HTML5 pano, which I have set to auto-pan slowly (.01). The reason it's an issue for me is that my Irish research pages containing panos are also very text heavy. It would take perhaps 15-20 minutes to read and absorb some of the pages. That...

HTML5 VR heats up processor
With the transition away from Flash VR, I was hoping that my laptop (MacBook Pro 17" 2010) would be able to display web panos without the processors heating up and making the fans run faster. But this still occurs. Loading a P2VR cylindrical HTML5 VR webpage, the CPU core temps go from 56ºC to ...

Re: V5 VR HMD files and How to.
Tip: If you move the right images point hotspot to the left by just over half the width of the point hotspot marker then this brings the hotspot image more forward in the stereo output giving a more 3D effect. Caution: Over doing the effect can make people ill. Dramamine included with the ZIP file?...

Flash Phobia
With all the hacking-induced Flashophobia in the media in the last few days, with stories encouraging people to block Flash in their browsers, it would be nice if the Javascript in Pano2VR's HTML template to "prefer Flash" (appended below) would load the HTML5 version if Flash is blocked i...

Re: V5 VR HMD files and How to.
Can't wait to try this later today.
A few questions: is it necessary to create a separate build of a VR project for HMD users? Or will the same skin work satisfactorily in a standard browser window on any device?
Can the new HMD skin be customized?
Thanks for getting this out to us!

Re: All back tiles w/cylinder
Thanks, Thomas.
There are 280 GB free on the 1 TB SSD, the only drive, on my MacBook Pro. But it still produces the black tiles with the pano. And other extremely wide cylindrical panos.

Re: All back tiles w/cylinder
This is not an issue with the brower. It's the tiles themselves. When I examine them all in Bridge (or Photoshop), the tiles made w/my laptop are each 100% black. The tiles produced with my MacPro (the ones used to make the online version I referenced in my original post) are fine. I believe that th...

All back tiles w/cylinder
Can anyone please explain this possible bug: With both v.4.53 and v.5.0 beta, when I generate for HTML5 VR the 2,047 tiles required for this 10,000 px x 1,667 px cylindrical pano (a timeline): http://voicesfromthedawn.com/wp-content/sites/moghane/timeline/indexTablet.html when I generate the tiles o...
