Re: Directional Sound
I already own a Zoom H2 and so far I've had no problems with the device. I too bought it with the idea of placing directional sound within a panorama but as of yet I haven't done this. I have recorded surround clips ready to use but admittedly I haven't been trying too hard, just waiting for directi...

Re: Pano 2 DVD or Video
If your happy putting videos together onto DVD then why don't you keep things simple (and cheap) and try this, Pano2Movie(http://www.pano2movie.com)? Convert your panoramas into Apple QuickTime and with this utility it will create a video clip on a predefined path for each panorama. Once you have go...

Re: CNN Hudson River newsflash pano
Thomas,
It's good to hear that the little man sometimes does get through to the big faceless company. Does this now mean that you can use the phrase ".....as seen on CNN"? It must give you a good feeling to see all your hard work really paying off.
Congratulations
Bob Bilsland.

Re: CNN Hudson River newsflash pano
Thomas,
Had you noticed that the original panorama has been re-posted, no more banana shaped horizons. Maybe the guy who knows what he's doing with Pano2VR was out of the office on the day of the plane crash.

Re: even more newbie questions
PrOxY, Personally I usually shoot in both RAW & JPeg, this then gives me options to use what I think necessary when stitching. But saying that most of the time I choose the RAW files especially now that PTGui can accept the RAW files directly. As for sharpening, I apply this at the very end befo...

Re: even more newbie questions
John, Could I suggest that you look at the latest hotspot tutorials ( http://gardengnomesoftware.com/tutorial.php?movid=12_1 ). I think that the reason you drop out of full screen mode is that your loading a new web page and so the browser closes down the current flash player and then starts a new o...

Re: Sound Support in Flash
Thomas,
Will this be general non-directional looping sound or will you be able to embed sound sources to positions within a panorama that will then come and go as you pan around? (just wondering because if it is directional sound, I'll get recording some directional sounds!).
Thanks,
Bob Bilsland.

Re: Alternative Mouse Control
Thomas,
Thanks for that, I've been trying navigating around panoramas using a more hands on method (without a mouse) and when you are physically touching the view it seems more natural to drag the view around.
Bob.

Alternative Mouse Control
Please excuse me if I've missed this setting, but I don't think I can see it. Currently if you click and drag to the mouse in a direction the view will continue panning in that directing (unless a stop is hit). Would it be possible to implement a click and drag mouse control option for the flash vie...

Re: Directional Sounds Support?
Thomas,
Thanks for the reply, the framework from Trolltech seems very interesting. The files I get from the H2 are a pair of stereo files so maybe it would be possible to anchor 2 stereo files into a single panorama?
Thanks again,
Bob Bilsland.

Directional Sounds Support?
Thomas, I've read Henri Smeets question about the addition of background audio but are there any plans to include directional audio as well? The reason I ask is that I'm currently playing around with a Zoom H2 (http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/products/h2/) which has the ability to use it 4 microphones...
