I had the same impression, so I only use Pano2VR for making Flash9 versions and I continue using Pano2QTVR for generating cubefaces (16-bit) and QuickTimeVR files. It really doesn't bother me too much because I only bought Pano2VR for Flash9 anyway. For me the addition of an integrated interface for...

Sorry Scott, from your question I wrongly assumed you let Pano2(QT)VR generate .movs or .swfs directly, without extracting and editing the cubefaces first. I fully agree with you when you ask for the possibility to choose between the two methods in Pano2VR!

Hi Scott, I understand why you asked about it after noticing the difference, but I really don't understand why this is a problem in the first place. Perhaps I am doing it all wrong here, but for me it doesn't matter. I just let PTGui and Pano2QTVR (not Pano2VR as it is now) make the largest possible...

Hi Scott, I've done some tests on several PC's at a number of different locations (= internet connections, all of them ADSL though) since your report, and haven't yet seen this error message with this one. Has this particular pano been the only one you've experienced this with? There's a cilindrical...

I've seen very similar error messages with other Flash9 panos before, but not yet with this one. Incomplete loading occurs quite frequently, reloading the page usually does the trick but sometimes restarting IE is necessary to 'get things going' again : ( I didn't make the Flash9 version zoomable be...

I finally decided to try to let PTGui make cubefaces from that 25276x12638 equirect, and it turned out to be quite easy. That gave me cubefaces of 8046x8046 pixels. So back to Pano2VR, and guess what, Pano2VR told me the fourth one could not be opened and remained silent after that. So that didn't w...

Well there's PTGui, which is rediculously cheap for the incredible things it can do, and then there are other programs that either cost money, some even rediculously much for what they can do, or nothing at all. PTGui requires (more than) a little effort to learn to use it effectively though....

Apparently not, I cannot load a 25276x12638 equirectangular I desperately want to convert to cubefaces : ( edit: I just made that image 20000x10000 and Pano2VR still won't open it, merde! edit2: making it 19900x9950 didn't help a bit either. Both Pano2VR and Pano2QTVR refuse to open it. At least Pan...

Autorotation with Flash9

It seems that Flash9 panos with autorotation load VERY slowly and 'consume' a lot of processor effort. This morning I uploaded one here <www.erikleeman.com/QT/fullscreen-english-DEVAL.htm> (it is the first one at the top of the page, select the Flash version) and some of the older PC's I tested it o...

Sure, no problem at all.
You'll have to be a bit patient for the results, I probably won't be able to do much before sunday-evening because of a temporary overload of 'social obligations' (a.k.a. birthdays etc.) the next few days.

autorotate

My memory failed me a little bit, sorry 'bout that. - when I deselect 'Auto Rotate' completely the Flash9 pano will not (as it should) - when I select 'Auto Rotate' + 'Only in Focus', but NOT 'Start after fully Loaded', the pano will autorotate (as it should) - when I select 'Auto Rotate' + 'Only in...

All the Flash9 versions I have made until now had 'Rendering Quality' set to 9. I haven't tried higher settings yet, but I am quite pleased with the results so far : )

autorotate settings for Flash9

I can't look into it right now and I didn't pay much attention to it yesterday, but when I select 'autorotate / start when finished loading' the Flash9 panos never start rotating at all. I think (but I'm not sure) that the ones where I did NOT select autorotate in fact DO autorotate. I'll install th...

I can't get that preview window working, the default settings already were the lowest possible as far as I could see. There also seems something not ok with the autorotate settings for Flash9. Right now I am converting my 1000x540 (screensize, Cubefaces are 2100x2100) panos, I can post a link to the...

I forgot to mention the OS I work with, so I edited my original post.

I really have to log-off now, the alarmclock won't go off an hour later just because I'd like it to ; )
Any tests will have to wait until tomorrow then, sorry 'bout that.
