Re: Using unique hotspot data to trigger an action?

Hi JNorris, I hadn't even considered it being a multi-node tour at this stage, although that's a logical step on… but just for a single scene. It was more that if I looked around a fairground panorama, for example, then I could click on ten items on the stands, and 'win' something… whether it's an a...

Interested to see if anyone's got any solutions (or workarounds) for this? Thanks in advance

Using unique hotspot data to trigger an action?

Hi. First, sorry if this is a duplicate post… I've tried searching the forums for an answer but not found anything which matches. Is there a way of using data from individual hotspots, or changing some kind of variable once a hotspot has been clicked? I'd like to create a function which displays a u...

Re: Hotspots on Video

Sounds interesting… and challenging ELowi, when you say video, you mean real-world video, rather than a CG flythrough? Are you using the old P2VR tutorial to convert to 3x2, then into a Flash video? A challenge about attaching a hotspot into a 360° might be that it is not just fixed on a x/y positio...

Re: ipad Gyro for Object2vr files?

Just seen Hopki's reply… this is great news, I've been trying for a while to find a Dashcode-free way to include an HTML5 pano inside a Widget to place in an iBook. I look forward to seeing the tip… thanks in advance.

Re: How to reduce file size without loosing quality?

Great tips. Set up a Photoshop droplet to automate converting your files, once you've found a 'sweet spot' or best setting, then you can processes multiple files really quickly. I've found that O2VR has been improved since the beta versions so final outputs are more efficient and smaller too, which ...

Re: How can I supercharge & automate complex hotspots?

Thanks Hopki. Your advice helped me to get back on the right track, and I've got it doing what I want it to do. The hardest part was scripting & automating all the alphas in Photoshop, but understanding the hex colour pattern used to generate hotspots helped. Now I can process 144 TIFFs, each wi...

Re: Feature wishlist

Great, thanks for the quick reply and help Hopki… This info sort of gels with what I already understood and was semi-manually doing. Have automated a lot of it with Photoshop actions to speed things up too. This new info is useful & hopefully I can build upon it. I'll have a proper test and see ...

How can I supercharge & automate complex hotspots?

OK, I hope you don't think I'm double-posting here, but I wanted to expand upon a long-standing wish I added to the Object2VR wishlist. http://gardengnomesoftware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1437&p=25810#p25810 As I was posting about it on that thread I thought it might be useful to discu...

Re: Feature wishlist

Hey there. Here's my number 1 request in what is otherwise a significantly improved (and very useful) piece of software As per my original post (wow, was it really so long ago?) I'm still looking to find a quick and reproducible way to 'batch add' hotspots. If one is wanting to add detailed hotspots...

Re: 3.1.0 64 still has non-functioning mouse wheel

I experienced something similar and it was initially bugging me with 3.1.0…  That is, until I realised that when exporting Flash panos, I had to go to the 'Advanced Settings' tab, and deselect the 'Disable in browser' checkbox under the mouse wheel settings. For some reason this seems to be checked ...

Re: The new gyro feature

I've been enjoying this feature… feels more intuitive and natural that previous implementations I've seen on iPhone… thanks for implementing it with the latest version of P2VR Of course as soon as I got playing I wondered if it's possible to combine the starting co-ords one can use for a pano, with ...

Mystery iPad icon in Garden Gnome video

Just watched the 2x recent videos on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7h2sPg4-nE&feature=feedu about HTML manifests… thanks, really useful info. However I'm sure I'm not the only one who spotted a familiar icon in the dock on Hopki's iPad. http://www.anti-limited.com/ipad_icon.jpg Is this just a ...
