In the documentation is says you have to produce a file with an alpha channel. But it doesn't say exactly what format! I can try a few, but knowing what type might save me a few hours

Nice - this is the next thing on my list. Can I make a suggestion - that for the info panel you put a cross or some icon on it, and add a click event to the whole image to hide it. I spent ages (10 secs!) trying to get rid of the info panel till I realised I had to click the info button again. Gareth
