Re: toolbar menu access

If you made that toolbar-thing in Pano2VR's own skin editor there should be no need to access it from AS3. Provided you set it up properly in the skin editor it should automatically reposition itself when going fullscreen with stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN; in your AS3 code. Erik

Re: Closing Pans after opening them in Flash (Followup)

The interactive Pano2VR Flash panorama you loaded into your Flash application is 'just' an interactive object like any other you might create yourself before adding it to the Stage. It has the same properties, like visibility, so it should also be possible to remove it from the Display List and memo...

You mean a skin editor wildcard like this one (%)?:

Re: Pano2VR 2.3.1 released

Action Script Code be it 1,2 or 3 doesn't interest me in the slightest. This is why I and many others use Pano2VR instead of the other non GUI Flash compilers. And Thomas has indeed been very successful in making sure you don't have to know the slightest bit about ActionScript coding if all you wan...

Re: Noob question about inserting panoramas (.swf's) into Flash

Have a look here Mike: http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Pano2VR_-_Flash_API You're not the first one to overlook the Pano2VR Wiki, and you sure won't be the last ; ) You cannot load a Pano2VR .swf into the library or stage in a Flash authoring program, you can only load it as an external file dur...

Re: FullScreen without any button, Yes We Can!...but

YESSSS!!!! I've found a solution for the memory problem! Or at least for most of it anyway : D In short, I've done this: if (vr.pano) { vr.pano.bmpTile[0].dispose(); vr.pano.bmpTile[0] = null; vr.pano.bmpTile[1].dispose(); vr.pano.bmpTile[1] = null; vr.pano.bmpTile[2].dispose(); vr.pano.bmpTile[2] =...

FullScreen without any button, Yes We Can!...but

I've made a testpage with thumbnails that when clicked on open a Flash panorama directly in fullscreen mode. Here's a link: http://tinyurl.com/Direct-to-FullscreenPano As such it is no problem to make this happen with a small Flash application as a helper, but like always there's some snakes in the ...

Re: Any tips for large/high resolution files?

If you would make a high resolution winter panorama featuring mostly snow an a cloudy sky, and also a panorama of a forest with thousands of leaves, twigs, and other tiny little 'things', of exactly the same quality, and you would make a VR version of both of them, using exactly the same settings fo...

Re: Masking to reveal and hide stacked panos

Here's a version with a very fine 5/5 pixel vertical bar mask: http://tinyurl.com/P2VR-Alternating-JL-RF In an even finer configuration this technique could be used to show stereoscopic panoramas on a regular computer screen using a special 'lens' in front of the screen to direct each of the two pan...

Masking to reveal and hide stacked panos

Hi all, I've made a new prototype, this time it's a test to see if masks could be used to hide/reveal parts of two panos stacked on top of each other. It appears to be working, so please have a look here: http://tinyurl.com/P2VR-Alternating-JL This means that animated masks should also work, somethi...

Re: HD video panoramas

@gtunglaub If you had done it like shown in this brilliant series of After Effects tutorials: http://library.creativecow.net/articles/larsen_carl/cube_world1.php you could have made that movie distortion-free! It's a bit of work to set up the first project, but once done you can easily exchange the ...

Here are some more examples of what can be done with Pano2VR panoramas in combination with FlashCS4/ActionScript3: http://360vr.com/2010/preloader2/HTM/resort_slider_1000x550.htm Use the scroll bar on the right hand side to fade from one panorama into the other (looking in any direction). and http:/...

Re: Transparency in cube faces?

Here's an example of an interior with transparent windows: http://tinyurl.com/Pano2VR-SwitchView Just click on the red buttons (both of them). The outside view that is revealed does not move exactly in sync with the interior, instead it moves in a way that simulates the natural parallax that happens...
