first observations

Hello Thomas, after a quick test, just want to let you know my first observations. Setting up output-formats, I'm missing an Interpolator-Selector. Well, I know it's there: somewhat hidden in Menu "File"->"Settings". But this seems to be the same setup for all output-formats then. Right? I normally ...

Rohan: Is spherical just the same as "equirectangular" ? Yes! As Dave mentioned before, an equirectangular pano always has an 2:1 ratio (2000px wide:1000px high; 5000:2500.....) I don't see the option to use a spherical impust in Pano2QTVR. You choose Projekt (pano) type at the "Projekt-TAB", equire...

QT and Deval use .mov-files; flash uses .swf-files - both generated by Pano2QTVR. Java is feeded with .jpg-equi. I made my own templates ( modified original templates - found ...

Hi Charti, try to start with a very clean and sharp equi. I use to "oversharpen" my equis a little. Then, on "Settings-Tab", before creating .mov-file , you may choose spline 64, sinc 1024 or lanczos 2 as interpolator for stiching. Try different interpolators to see how they affect sharpness and fil...

Once you are comfortable with the editing.. it will reassemble the 6 cube faces back into the original image. Then you can convert the image into QTVR or with the Flash Pak.. into a .swf Flash image. You really don't need to convert the cubes back to equi first. You can use cubes directly as input ...

Thank you Thomas,
not very urgent.
Strange that only me and rjvega reported problems by now.
Did you read the QT 7.1.5 thread on quicktime-vr List? Sure, you did!

Quicktime 7.1.5 Update -> Error

After updating Quicktime to new 7.1.5. version
I can't open .mov file anymore (open after creation).
Results in Status: Error -50
Open .mov file directly with quicktime or within html-page works fine.
Reinstalling both QTand P2qtvr did not help.
Any idea?

Option: use panotools or not?

Hi Thomas,
btw: what´s your advice? Which option might be better (speed, quality)?
Use panotools (2.8.0 in my case) or build-in machine (interpolators) ?
