skin problem - 'jittery' external image

hi all, see this link: http://www.360imagery.co.uk/VT/craythorne/mast_007.html each of the 10 info markers will call up an external jpeg image, and clicking the marker will move to a new pano. If you put the number 1 or 2 info marker in the centre of the screen, the image tries to load over the mark...

Re: Skin editor = ENEMY of my JPEG

I raised this issue a month or so back:
http://gardengnomesoftware.com/forum/vi ... =13&t=2123
and Hopki, et al, provided a very useable work-around - calling external images.

Re: Preloading external images?

Andrew, what is the file size of your external images? This is exactly the way that I work all my tours (like here: http://www.360imagery.co.uk/VT/clowes/12harleystreet/start.html) - and the external images I try to keep to a maximum of 20kb each and don't see any lag delay time in appearing on a 'm...

Re: automatic loading of sequence of panos after set time?

hi Martin

I'm using this code:

CONTENT="70; URL=004.html">

which works in Firefox 3.0.10, but not in IE 7.0.60001......

any ideas?

today's skin....

Thanks to Martin (Hopki) for invaluable advice on 'calling external images'... The SWF file on this pano is only 1.5Mb so loads quickly - but each of the 6 hotspot images are around 400kb each - which would take too long if loaded within the skin. The time-consuming part is having all the other hots...
