Re: Artefacts

Hi Dave, I just made a simple test-image. (3000*1500 px, jpg, 8bit) After compiling to a flash panorama, watch the violet an red circle! There are even some faint horizontal slices visible! http://www.lichtspur.ch/public/gap3.jpg I have tested it on mac and pc , and both show the issue! Mac: Version...

Re: Artefacts

Today I made a new partial panorama, resized it by photoshop to 6000*3000 Pixel (just added a black background for zenith and nadir). The equirectangle image looks perfectly fine. But in the final flash version, those slices appear! I made the test and converted the equirectangle Input-File to a hor...

Artefacts

Hi, On almost every panorama I noticed some artefacts! Sharp horizontal or vertical lines with some missing pixels! Hi Simon
Have you got a copy or a backup? (Mac Time-Machine)
Check the folder:
(user)/Library/Application Support/GardenGnomeSoftware/Skins/
There you will find all the .ggsk-Skin-Files

Re: Improved Performance : Partial panoramas

Thanks Dave!

It was new to me that cylindric panoramas draw that much more CPU-power! To me this is the important point because it limits the maximum size on slow computers! But now I know how to fix it! :)

Improved Performance : Partial panoramas

I was wondering about the heavy CPU load for partial panoramas and I made some tests with different settings. For a partial panorama with horizontal 360° but less than 180° vertical view, Pano2VR suggests a cylinder panorama. It turned out in my tests, that cylindric panos need 50% more CPU-power fo...
