PanoMapper - A virtual world at your fingertips

It gives me much pleasure to announce the launch of PanoMapper, a powerful and flexible quality WordPress theme that allows you to showcase your media, whether panoramas, stills or video presentations, through a Google Maps-based interface. Six months in preparation and a number of rewrites before i...

Re: First attempt at a spherical giga panorama

Many thanks for the kind comments. That was shot at 35mm, using a 24-70mm Nikon zoom on my D800. I have been back and tried one at 50mm, but it took so long - with the light changing constantly - that I have had to bin it completely and will wait for stable weather. Having said that, I think that 35...

First attempt at a spherical giga panorama

Hello folks! It has been a long time since I posted here, but thought I would show you the fruits of my first attempt at a spherical gigapixel panorama and ask advice of others who do these things. The address is http://roros360.com/panos/tylldalen/index.html. There are problems, not least to do wit...

Re: A combination of players

Yes, it is a bit of a pain. I have got rid of a couple of redundant categories - well not redundant, but unnecessary - an played around with the placing a little.

The problem is that the tour is so very big, and getting bigger . . .

Thus, version 2 is on the way (hopefully within the week).

A combination of players

Hello folks! It's been a while since I last posted here, since I have begun using FPP. Nothing to do with Pano2vr's performance, but rather the fact that I can program specific XML functions that are used to wow, entice or bully customers into paying more. That doesn't mean I have abandoned Pano2vr ...

Fully functioning contact form available for purchase

A fully functioning contact form is now available. Using side-server scripts, it can be easily imported into a panorama and controlled with other skin elements. Complete with xml configuration file and an editable .fla (CS4 and higher), its text, appearance and actions can be altered to suit your ow...

Re: Focus and the inevitable rise and fall

Thanks for the reply, Pat. The table is actually a Nodal Ninja, placed on top of a Seitz Roundshot, so from that point of view, I think things are all OK. Well, I would damned well hope so. The problem, I have found is with the stacking. I have been using Helius and ControlMyNikon stacking remote (t...

Re: Multi-row object movies

Thanks for that. I think it is a little on the large size and probably, if commercially available, a little too big to export.

Perhaps a home-made solution is required . . .

Re: Multi-row object movies

Well, that is moot, but I cannot envisage that I shall be photographing anything that is larger than 15 inches in height or width.

Re: Multi-row object movies

Yes, I don't think I phrased that quite the way I meant. I need to find a solution to shoot a second and third row around at differing pitches to capture a vertical 90-degree set of images. However, I don't think that solution will work unless the joint is in line with the turntable. The arm is quit...

Re: Focus and the inevitable rise and fall

Yes. I think so. The problem is quite large for me, since I want as good as I can provide (don't we all). However, the controller programs - Helicon Remote and ControlMyNikon - are less useful than useful. I have been testing both for a couple f weeks. The former seems very buggy. The second seems t...

Multi-row object movies

I am looking for something that is relatively portable and easy to use that will allow me to swing the camera through an arc.

I wonder if this is suitable for the purpose: http://www.manfrotto.co.uk/2-section-do ... attachment

Any advice is gratefully received.

Focus and the inevitable rise and fall

This is a new venture for me and something I am not that confident with yet. However, I have been asked to make some object movies for an insurance company. The remit is that they are detailed enough for them to be used as good photographic documentation in case of theft. This means that I shall hav...
