Re: World Wide Panorama Event - Sept 2016 "Numbers"

Hi Svendus, First of all, I do apologise for the lack of response. I don't know what happened, but please accept our apologies. I'm not an expert in the back-end management of the WWP server, but I can see that you are (a) listed in a 'Pending Requests' list... and also are listed in the 'Co...

Re: Output for Samsung Gear VR

I don't see how I'd do that from within Gear VR, but I've only had it a few hours. However, I have been told (categorically, by multiple people) that the impressive VR performance with my own content comes when viewing within one of a couple of different apps, not just when viewing web-based panos. ...

Output for Samsung Gear VR

I just got a Gear VR headset and compatible phone. It really is a superb way to view panos! But there's a catch: Viewing an equirect (recommended resolution: 4096x2048px) is fine, but it shows a slight but VERY annoying 'Google pinch' effect in the center of the nadir. It can use cubefaces (recommen...

This will be a version 5 feature when it is out of beta, but I can not say at this point when and which version it will appear in.
Any new news on this? ;)

Little planets

I know, I know... but these really are such crowd-pleasers! I used this in a pano I showed to Fairport Convention a couple of days ago, and it's grabbed their attention more than the previous four or five years og shooting these at their festival. KRPano can do these in HTML5, but I really, *really*...

Beta output and Facebook glitch?

I have a set of meta tags that I know work for embedding panoramas in Facebook. I just made a pano with the v5 beta 2 build, and when someone using a desktop system clicks to view my pano inline in Facebook it shows a blank white space rather than the working pano content. It appears to work just fi...

Re: When is 5x version?

I can hardly say how much I (a) like this use of transformations, and (b) want to be able to make this in Pano2VR! http://visual-solutions-360.com/wp-content/uploads/panoramas/itaygrupper/tour.html Hand-coding in KRPano can achieve this but it really does get tedious, and Panotour Pro is rather cost...

Heh. Yes. But often the actual *great* part of the scene isn't literally straight ahead, it's angled lower down – or maybe further up. :)

Re: Return to Horizon confusion

It would also be *very* useful to be able to set a non-horizon 'return to' point. For example, this: http://www.panoramaphotographer.com/ual/2015/csm/ would work much better if it returned to 10 or 15 degrees below the actual horizon, and many others of mine are the same.

Return to Horizon confusion

The Return to Horizon control is rather confusing. What does that field actually set? It seems that the higher the value the faster the effect. It *looks* like it's setting the number of seconds, so I had assumed the behaviour would be the opposite.

The morphing of projections is on the list and will make it into Pano2VR 5
Very exciting! :D This is something I'm really looking forward to trying.

Re: Precise location of hotspots?

That's a reasonable workaround for this desire, thanks. I do think it would be sensible to be able to place all hotspot object types with numeric control. Bumping it down the line would be fair enough, but I really hope it doesn't get kicked out altogether. That would be a mistake, IMO. (Note: opini...

Re: embedding tour in FB page?

Heh. Already did. And I see that the HTML5 version doesn't want to show in Facebook when I use my iPad. :? Another issue is that the og:image line wasn't in my output at all, and also that the og:url and og:title lines weren't seen until I moved them to the top of the set of meta tags. It could be a...

Re: embedding tour in FB page?

How does this template and technique work with the new Pano2VR 5 beta? (I'm going to try it in a moment, but I'd still appreciate input and/or tips...)
