Hello Zoltán,
This is a good suggestion. We have added a "$(ur)" placeholder, and the "capturedatetime" field as an ISO-8601 string to the userdata to Pano2VR 8.0 beta3. We also improved the EXIF handling, so that the time zone is kept during the import. If the GPS timestamps are present, we take ...

Re: Remapping issue
Hello Jake,
please check the files dates on your images, and if they are "from the future". Pano2VR compares the date/time of the tiles and the date/time of the image file. If the image file is newer (and if the date/time is in the future, it is always newer…), then the remapping is started. If it ...

Re: version 8 binary file format
Hello Laszlo,
The new project file is just a ZIP file with a different file extension, a "project.json" and the thumbnails in it (for now). Skins (.ggsk files) are, by the way, built the same way! The reason was to keep the thumbnail images in the project so that we can load it faster.

Re: 3D Model Not Showing Up in Pano2VR Software
Your model clearly doesn't use local coordinates, as the local grid in GLTF Editor is missing. Screenshot-2026-02-23-at-10.39.21.jpg
You can also see this in GLTF Editor. Center the model,

and then look at that transformation:

Re: 3D Model Not Showing Up in Pano2VR Software
For now, Pano2VR 8 cannot handle CRS/UTM models. I am still investigating the origin of the problem, but for now, please export the GLB with local coordinates. There should be a File -> Export -> Local Coordinates checkbox.

Re: Should all tiles be the same size?
I would not worry at all. The internet and computers are much faster now than in the old days, when this feature was first added.

Re: Should all tiles be the same size?
No. This is normal.
The tiles on the sides and on the bottom are smaller sizes if the full width of the cube face is not evenly divisible by 510px (not 512, as there are 2px overlap on each tile).

Re: Refresh my skins with updated graphics.
You can use the "Reload linked Images" if all the files are still in the same location.
The refresh image button shows you the original location as a tooltip.

Hello Carlos,
Of course these projects should still work... and if they don't, it is a bug. We will look into this.

Re: 3D modell max size?
Currently only GLB is supported. There is not really a max size, only what your graphics card/browser/bandwidth can handle.
This model looks very strange. Can you please send it to support@ggnome.com so that we can take a look?

Re: How to make the entire menu follow the gaze in VR mode?
In the VR Skin you can simply add elements to the open/close button container, and those elements will be next to this button and follow the stare.
If you don't need the menu, you can also hide those buttons. The important bit is that you have an element called "_open_skin" and "_close_skin" so ...

For the Abby we used a DJI Mini 4 drone Reality Scan; for the Doll House, we used PolyCam in on an iPhone Pro 17.

Hello Thomas,
Thank you for your feedback!

Re: Large projects setting missing
You can hold down the "Alt" key ("Option" on the Mac) to disable image loading temporary. Check the box and then save the project.
