Re: Buying a new pc.. best spec recommendation?

- I would go for as many cores as possible. I tested Pano2VR on 64 cores (EC2 instance... not my box, unfortunately ;)) and it still maxes them out for remapping. Better get more cores then faster cores. Almost everything is multithreaded. - Next is hard disk speed for reading and writing the files ...

Re: Auto click/play through tour

There is a simple way to do this: - Add a text variable named for example nextNode - Add a "set Variable" on "Start" in the hotspot template for the arrow. Variable is nextNode, value is $(hu) - This will store the link of the hotspot in a variable. - Add a button with an Action on "Mouse Click" - "...

Hi Hopki, can the margins be changed dynamically?
Currently only with javascript, but I will look into this. The javascript call in a goto action would be for example:

Code: Select all

javascript:player.setMargins(10,20,30,40);
with the order left, top, right, bottom.

Re: custom parameters by external url

At the moment placeholders cannot be used in logic blocks as values, but this is on the todo list for a future version.

Re: custom parameters by external url

You can do this with some lines of JavaScript.
Just look at the code for direct node access in the index.html. There you can add a field that is written to a variable with a setVariable action.

Re: Huge Number of output Files pro Tour

As we cannot do magic, there is no other easy way to solve the problem of multi-resolution, without special server software, etc. However, you can already significantly reduce the number of images yourself, with the drawback that it may put a heavier load on the user's hardware. As newer phones are ...

Re: Information displayed/showed by GGKP

As your website uses https, you also need to provide the URL with https so

Code: Select all

[ggpkg url='https://www.the360guide.com/wp-content/uploads/tours/pano']
should do the trick.

Re: Failure to navigate image on iPhone

You are using a very old player (Pano2VR 5.0). Please upgrade to 5.2.5 where this issue is fixed. You can just swap out the pano2vr_player.js file. If you are curious: iOS 10.3.1 changed the way touch events are handled, and this broke the player.

Re: how to change the start pano programmatically

If you look into the direct node access code, you can find the line

Code: Select all

pano.startNode = startNode;
So you can do something like

Code: Select all

pano.startNode = 'node3';
before the xml is loaded to change the starting node. After the config is loaded you can use the normal "openNext" call.

Re: Information displayed/showed by GGKP

Yes, you can do this. Just have a look at https://ggnome.com/doc/pano2vr/6/cms-plugins/ and use the url parameter. The URL must point to an extracted package or a normal Pano2VR output. [ggpkg url="http://ggno.me/panoramas/pano123"] If the URL points to a different domain, you need to make sure that...

Re: Best size of source for webvr

Currently, we are still testing different ways to improve image quality and resolution, but as stereo is still missing, it doesn't make sense to start the final tweaking of the rendering. One way to produce sharper images (but also risk aliasing) is to change the interpolation in the Settings/Prefer...
