Re: Easiest Feature Request for Thomas!

Point Hotspots - but why not both? On v4.0, this is much easier on the 'Hotspot List' tab -- but still - adding a button to delete all would not be too bad! :)

Needed: Placeholder for NORTH to maintain direction

The tutorial for setting up a radar on v3.0 showed a manual process of finding north, then using the user information field to store it. With this solution, we could use the placeholder $ui to get our north value. v4.0 provides the ability to set North from the Viewing Parameters screen, but does no...

Re: Using North / East / South / West on v4.0 (Not Pro)

Thanks for the link. In looking at the Placeholder FAQ/Video, it would make sense to just use $cur in the "target" field... Re: http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/List_of_Placeholders $cur = current pan/tilt/fov - (use in open next panorama target field) Thing is, for this to work, it wou...

Using North / East / South / West on v4.0 (Not Pro)

Just upgraded to v4.0b2. I'm doing interior virtual tours, thus the Google Maps features of the Pro version aren't useful. What I figured I could do is use the floorplan that I'm making panos for and set North relative to the top of each image. I've used Nodes in my map -- had to add an action to op...

Re: Android 2.3.x Gingerbread to 4.0.3 ICS Smartphone & Flas

Wow! What a 'cool' way for HTC to work on eliminating Flash dependence -- turning it off on upgrade!!!! Of course, this means that Flash is now not an end-user friendly feature on Android smart phones. Me thinks that the Android Phone Manufacturers aren't too happy about Adobe's plan to drop flash. ...

Re: HTML5 for iPod, iPhone

Isn't there a fullscreen HTML template? I would recommend using it -- or editing a template to make it full screen (100% / 100% / no margins) - and embedding your tours in IFRAMES... In your HTML, what happens if you change the width and height in: <div id="container" style="width:720...

Consideration for CDN for Dependencies

With changes happening in HTML5/CSS3 compatibility and best known practices --- it might be worth GardenGnomeSoftware offering CDN (Content Distribution Network) for support javascript files so that updates can be made to improve compatibility and all of our tours would benefit (if we choose to use ...

Re: Android 2.3.x Gingerbread to 4.0.3 ICS Smartphone & Flas

I would consider your installation of Flash a non-standard user experience at this point. As you may already know, Adobe has dropped support for Flash and removed it from Android Market. It's not shipping with devices anymore and the time is -now- to move away from using it for mobile... Perhaps Tho...

Re: Pano2VR Pro beta

I would hope that this problem gets fixed... I had something similar happen in the past in a v3.x distro...

I think that the new Simplex should have a new name and that files should be replaced unless the CRC doesn't match.

Re: GigaPan VR

You may want to use a 64-Bit version of Photoshop and convert it to a JPG. Chances are, preserving the quality as a TIFF will not be equal to opening it in Photoshop, color balancing and tweaking, then saving it with a bit of noise reduction and sharpening. I open my stitched JPGs in Adobe Camera RA...

Re: Happy and Sad

If you are using the software for professional usage then the price of pano2VR is offset very quickly. If you are working professionally you bought a camera, panohead and a computer, Photoshop and other software? All cost considerably more than Pano2VRPro costs. All tools of the trade and considere...

Re: Happy and Sad

I absolutely HATE the cost of the full Pano2VR. However - I love Garden Gnome Software and believe that Thomas deserves to profit from Pano2VR. He has made such a modest profit off of previous versions and as this is such a niche product - requiring so much of his time - I do believe that he deserve...

FEATURE REQUEST: Snap to 0 in Viewing Parameters

Almost without exception, I set my 360s to a 0 Degree Tilt. When using the Viewing Parameters editor, I'll often reposition the horizontal pan setting and involuntarily change my vertical. The need to reset this to 0 adds an additional, unneeded step -- and while it seems trivial, when you're proces...

How to Fix Older Virtual Tours Broken by Flash Updates

In November 2011, Flash security updates broke many Panos made in older versions of Pano2VR. This is caused by a single blank image with dimensions 0x0 being inserted into the SWF -- and it's easily corrected. 1. Download Sothink SWF Decompiler 7.1 ($80 Registration) 2. Open broken SWF file. 3. Navi...
