How to Fix “Sorry, This File Type Is Not Permitted for Security Reasons” Error in WordPress

On some WordPress sites i've received an error when trying to upload a package. I think this may have been discussed here previously but in any event, the info here might be useful if you're having this kind of issue: https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/sorry-this-file-type-is-not-permitted-for-securit...

Re: Help with WordPress package

I just tested this with Waterfox and Chrome. The changes were displayed correctly in both browsers after replacing the xml and skin files. Thanks Harald-- appreciate checking. Not sure why I'm seeing, or not seeing this. I've tested with multiple WP sites and have had some issues with most when upl...

Help with WordPress package

Learned a lot thanks to the recent Webinar on using P2R Packages with WordPress. Excellent presentation. Traveling now and not able to view the recording but I seem to remember the problem I'm having was addressed in that Webinar. Basically I can create a Package, upload it and insert it into a WP P...

Need some help re. image resolution

Basically what I'm trying to do is to create a panorama of a flat images and restrict the viewing size. For example, the source image is 2,880 x 3,624 pixels. I want to create a pano of that image sized to 800 x 636 pixels which retains the same aspect ratio. I want to let viewers can zoom in and pa...

Can't add button

I'm sure it's something simple, but when in the Skin Editor and I click the Button icon to add a New Button, I get a browser dialog box to "Import New Button" rather than the Button options I would expect. Doesn't seem to matter what Skin I'm working in. (?)

Re: WordPress plugin?

Hi Tim, Apologies for not getting back to you sooner, I can't believe a month has gone by since I last logged in! You asked: 'In the shortcode, what ID is the package looking for-- the Node ID within Pano2VR?' So, for example, the shortcode would be something like [ggpkg id=145]. The id is what Wor...

Re: WordPress plugin?

Thanks much Wil! Well, I am getting closer-- I think. I did attempt to upload the ggpkg file as you described and yes, I did run up against the "file too large" stop sign. So am I correct in assuming that in order to increase the max file size I'll need to edit one of the WP config files? ...

Re: WordPress plugin?

You should be OK no matter the host, it's WordPress.com sites where I don't believe the plugin will work. I use the plugin on several sites that I host with no issue. Ah-- ok great. I didn't scroll down far enough to see your response. More than likely there's user error involved so I'll give it an...
