I'm rebuilding my skin, basing it on simplex v6. I've removed controls I don't need, but cannot get the controls to evenly space, nor will the size of the background box change. What am I missing?

Sorry guys, busy and out of town. I've got plenty of disk space available, about 750GB on a 2TB drive. Performance issue is limited to Chrome. it works great on FireFox and Safari. I'm rebuilding my skin. I'm basing it on silhouette. I have turned off the actions I don't want. I then move the remaining actions to be together in the center as in the the screen shot attached, In Skin Editor. The result in output is in result in output. I cannot get these to line up properly.
