Pano2vr.v3b4 iphone issues

Just trying a simple single VR, works fine in Flash, mutliresolution, but has some odd quirks in html5 on a iPhone 3Gs v4.2.1OS. Used the normal.ggt template to produce with the simplex skin. The skin was slightly customized to allow for word wrap and Auto size on the information screen. When I view...

Re: older pano2VR swf file broken

Just a update.

I located the original swf files on my backups and they still work fine, so somehow the files on the client's site have become corrupted. I'm trying to get a copy of one to compare the working and non-working files.

Regards,

Robert

older pano2VR swf file broken

I create some 360's for a small hotel a couple of years ago. I used whatever was the current version of Pano2VR back in early 2009 to create the SWF files. They worked fine, even with the client using the stupid Yahoo web site builder/manager. Now, 4 of the 6 are acting odd. They all load, but 4 of ...

Re: Html 5/CSS 3 - Flash; state of the market

Yep. So far I think two links are necessary. This is a big mistake. With the release of Pano2vr v3 it's become the market leader in the i space. But the i, html5/CSS3 space is a very small percentage of the market today. I would think less than 12% of the potential viewers. while that will grow ove...

Html 5/CSS 3 - Flash; state of the market

Am I missing something here, or is the curent solution from this beta that you need two links? One to serve the iPhone/Pad and Safari 5 users and and a second flash version for the rest of the world? If I produce a 360 in html5/css3 today it will only work on i devices or users using safari 5. There...

Re: HTML templates for Pano2VR 3

Thomas, this is the best idea yet for optimizing both mobile devices and even desktops, it's really quite a great feature. the point I'm not clear on still is the flip between html 5/CSS and flash. Since it seems that only apple's safari 5.n supports CSS 3D transforms and all of the other browsers d...

V3 Beta 0, Multiresolution

Trying out this feature and there are few things not clear to me and first attempt is not working. Loaded a set of cubes, each about 7200 pixels, setup a flash output, use a cubeface of 1880, enabled the mutiresolution option, left it at the defaults, generated the output, produced a html and 100K s...

Re: What is most wanted?

Smooth, Single developers are seldom driven by others, they are creative s in their own right. they do want they want to, right or wrong. while i agree with you that they should pay attention to what their users want, it's not the driving force, i thinks it more the technical challenge and new that ...

Re: Pano2VR v3 Beta 1

Saarikor, One new feature in version 3 is html 5/css output. This can be viewed on the iPhone or iPad, perhaps other smartphones that have a browser that supports html5 too, not sure about that. But, it's automatic, it's NOT an app, but html based so you just use the browser on the iPhone to view it...

Re: Pano2VR v3 Beta 1

OK, got a handle on the screen size work, very nice design, just add as many variants as you want to and the XML checks the screen size of the viewer and loads the appropriate image set. That's extremely refined. Thomas, would it not also make sense to allow for altering the size of the skin items a...

Hot spot editor issues with v3 beta

Still exploring the new beta, trying to understand the new features. Guess, only point hotspots are supported in the html 5 output. Hope the area hotspots will be added soon as that's what I typically use, don't really care for point hotspots much, but that's a personal problem  Loaded an exist...

Pano2VR v3 Beta 1

Very Cool, lots to test, explore. Great start Thomas, congrats! A couple of questions; 1. I tried producing a tour with existing hotspots, they don't seem to have gotten to the html5 output, but I see your examples include a tour with hotsppots, map, etc. Anything special you have to do or ..... 2. ...

Re: Stack of Two - (AS3 Preloader experiment)

Yes, I tried the fade one, just tried in using Chrome and it kind of fades - less than 1/2 second, no transparency between, kind of a go to dark, load second pano, but all in 1/2 a second or less.

And yes, a fairly powerful computer with a modern Nvidia setup with Cuda.

Re: Stack of Two - (AS3 Preloader experiment)

Erik, this is extremely interesting, having pano in layers with all of the layer blending type options and masked transparency would be a major enhancement to say the least. It's something that only one other player that I'm aware of has ever done, and that required shockwave. While you can kind of ...
