Re: Dell XPS 15 question
Well, the 1050-TI support OpenGl version 4.6 and the assure me that it is backwards compatible. So I am hoping I don't regret my $2k investment at the end of the month when I have the cash to buy it.

Dell XPS 15 question
Is anyone using a 2018 Dell XPS 15 with either the Radeon RX Vega M GL or NVidia GTX 1050-TI to create tours? I ask because I need to get a new computer, I want to go with a laptop and the XPS 15 can be ordered with an 8th gen i7 and a GTW 1050-TI, or the XPS 15 2-in-1 with the Radeon RX Vega M GL. ...

Re: Assistance needed, bribe you with lunch
Thank you for your reply. I actually take 12 images, 6 pointed up 30 degrees and 6 pointed down 30 degrees. I do that because when I try to take them on the horizon and then point my camera straight up for 1 shot to capture the zenith, I can never get that to work. I use Hugin sw to stitch. I use a ...

Assistance needed, bribe you with lunch
Hello, I am wondering if anyone here lives in the Chicago area. I created a tour for my local nursery (https://www.countrysideflowershop.com/) and if you look at the ceilings, you'll see that I just can't get the panos to line up perfectly. Am I being petty or should they align better? In any event,...

Gettting a tour on Google Maps
Hello, I've created a tour for a local nursery and garden center http://bhimagery.com/virtual-tours/countryside-nursery/ (password is "Countryside01"). Is it possible to get this listed somehow on Google Maps and if so, is there a tutorial that someone can point me to on how to do it? Than...

Release of Google Tour Creator
Hello, I just saw today that Google released their GTour Creator. It looks overly simplistic, complete lack of controls, however I am a little concerned about this: "the Tour Creator can generate multiple scenes within the same tour using uploaded 360 content or by searching for a location on G...

Macbook Air
Hello,
Does anyone use a Macbook Air to create tours on, or are the specs not beefy enough? I ask because I need to get a new computer and I am tired of the slowness of Windows machines.
Thanks,
Bob / hansonb4

Wordpress / Cardboard
I've been able to get a standard tour uploaded to Wordpress no problem (the photos are not the best, at this point I am just trying to get the mechanics down): http://bhimagery.com/photos/church360/ It is cumbersome; I have to make a copy of the GGnome package, change the extension from ggpkg to .zi...

Tour editing on a laptop?
Hello, I need to upgrade my computing hardware and am thinking of switching from a desktop to a laptop. I know there are issues with a Win machine's GPU becoming overwhelmed and crashing when trying to set up a tour. I am looking at these machines; any recommendations are appreciated. I do not play ...

Re: Computer Crash
All I can say that I had no problem creating individual 360 panos when I started. As soon as I started creating a multi-pano tour, my PC kept crashing as it overloaded my GPU. The NVidia card I stuck in my PC immediately resolved the problem.

Re: Computer Crash
Are you using a standalone Graphics card or the GPU on the motherboard? That resolved my problem 100%.

Re: 1st tour, no iPhone audio
So I read about adding a button and it says that you can "add a single background sound. It will play in the background of the project." I located a Garden Gnome YouTube video about adding a mouse click sound that starts to play a sound upon a click of a button. HOWEVER, I need different s...

1st tour, no iPhone audio
Hello, I did my first complete tour and noticed that background audio plays fine on Windows (chrome/edge), Mac (safari), Android but not an iPhone. I see previous posts about audio issues with iOS, but those posts are from around 2010-2011. Is there a trick to fix this? http://bhimagery.com/photos/c...

ggpkg file won't display correctly
I've been uploading ggpkg files to my blog post on my Wordpress site with no problems until recently. Now I'm getting a message that says "GGPKG incomplete, XML-File is missing!" The ggpkg file used to have a preview image in my media library, now it doesn't look the same, see attachment. ...
