Re: Output Performance in Browser is horrible

It sounds like something in Chrome on your computer. The first thing is I would clear out Chrome's cache. If that doesn't work, then move on to both the cache and cookies. The next step would be to check any extension you have installed. Disable all of them and start turning them on one by one. You ...

Re: Why is it that Pano2VR sucks at compressing PNG files?

Just a suggestion, instead of having Pano2VR decide for us, how about adding a bit selection. If you are doing drawings that are 2 or 3 flat colors, you don't need 24 bits.

Re: Output Performance in Browser is horrible

You may want to check on how much disk space you have open. When you are viewing the output on the localhost, you are having 3 different programs in use: Pano2VR, the webserver, and the browser. Both the server and the browser cache the images, and I think so does Pano2V2. So if there is not enough ...

Re: Updating an online tour, which files?

Hopki, Is there anything else I need to do when updating the skin and seeing the changes in Wordpress? I overwrote the six files (pano.xml, skin.js, etc) in the projects folder by uploading via FTP, but I don't see the changes reflected when I refresh the page. I even scroll through the output fold...

Re: Devices, big issue when entering full screen mode

Solved. The problem was actually coming from my devices. I have factory reset both of them and now the issue is no more  Very strange to me, as before I did the full reset I know that all my devices web browsers were updated. Interesting... Best, Julien Do a double and a triple-check that thi...

Re: How can I compose an External URL with variable values?

This should be possible but may require some javascript. I'm going to play around with it and see if I can come up with something.

Re: Bug? Player Width/Height is different in Firefox/Chrome/IE

... I can - and have - made a perfectly good reactive website, but I cannot control things that Pano2vR is doing behind my back and then lying about it to me. .... This is the issue, you want to blame Pano2VR for everything. Was it cloudy when you took the photos, Pano2VR should have arranged for b...

Re: Bug? Player Width/Height is different in Firefox/Chrome/IE

Well, I'm not sure it's always as easy as you say. I have learned a lot since I designed that site almost 10 years ago. I have asked questions, studied, learned from my mistakes, and listened. My current projects are far more robust and mobile-friendly. With a little luck, I will be able to replace...

Re: Bug? Player Width/Height is different in Firefox/Chrome/IE

I wasn' sure how or if I should reply to this post. But since it shows a fundamental lack of understanding of several key points of web design, and how hardware & software interact, I decided to try. Some portions have been removed because they added nothing to the discussion. Well, you might be res...

Re: Devices, big issue when entering full screen mode

Julien, Try making this change to the viewport meta tag. It's located in the index.html file. I think it will work, but I'm not 100% sure. I added height=device-height. It should report the device height to the browser and CSS. <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, height=device-height,...

Re: Bug? Player Width/Height is different in Firefox/Chrome/IE

For anyone out there that is using Internet Explorer, as in IE11. Upgrade now. Switch to Edge, Chrome, or Firefox. IE is not safe for general use anymore. It does not follow standards, it's usage is insignificant and it should not be used for web development. Is this really too hard a concept for y...

Re: Bug? Player Width/Height is different in Firefox/Chrome/IE

Let's put an end to this. Here is a link to a pano that shows width and height values from Pano2VR and javascript. The javascript values are independent of Pano2VR, they are directly from the browser. https://hvolnew.com/Images2/widthHeight/index.html For Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and IE you wil...

Re: Bug? Player Width/Height is different in Firefox/Chrome/IE

 What you just posted is literally how scaling works. Windows-based programs get the screen width and height from Windows, not the monitor. You can change the report resolution by either scaling or changing the value in the "display resolution" setting. If you tell windows to scale by 125% it ...
