Could the Pano2VR devs give an update on this? It's actually the only reason I look at krpano with envy. Would be so neat to start a pano zoomed out in a stereographic projection and then zoom into a rectilinear one on pan start!

I edited the skin.js file and replaced button_1.png with my hs1.gif and it works, it animates. The Skin Editor GUI should allow one to choose GIF in the filechooser.

When adding an image or button in the Skin Editor, the "Files of Type" filter does not contain GIF, so how does one add animated hotspots?

As a workaround, you can type the image name by hand, e.g.foo.gif, that seems to work.
