EBUSY error exiting Package Viewer on Windows

Using pano2VR 7.0.5 64-bit on Windows, I am encountering an error when exiting the Garden Gnome Package Viewer (Version 1.5.0). A large pinned video seems to be what provokes it. The error does not occur if I pin a very short 7 second test video. A pop-up indicates the following: A JavaScript error ...

Re: How can I customize the map provider

As you probably already know, Pano2VR provides built-in support for Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, and Mapbox. There is also a custom interface for supporting URL-based tiled map images. If none of these work for you, there is another approach that might provide a basic map-viewing capability. If your ...

Mike:

Here's a link to the results I got. See if it's what you are after.

Re: using a partial horizontal panorama in a Tour Map

Mike: There’s an option in “Properties – Panorama” under the “Input” section for specifying the Horizontal FoV. I made a copy of your initial image, plugged it into a quick test project with an estimated field of view of 220 degrees, and found the map and the main view sync’ed up nicely. Hopefully t...

Re: Pinned images with text.

One way to do that would be to replace a pinned image that needs supplemental text with a “flat” tour node accessed from the panorama by a polygon hotspot. You could then manually add a descriptive text box to the image using an image editor like Photoshop. A polygon hotspot on the “flat” image node...

Re: Pinned images with text.

Could it be that you are using Pano2VR and have posted this in the wrong forum? If so and you are looking for titles to display when you hover over the pinned image with a mouse, you may be able to accomplish that by overlaying the pinned image with a polygon hotspot whose URL is left undefined. The...

Re: Exhibition "Kartonismus"

Not sure if it would have had any effect on your situation, but I have found that when PTGui generates control points on top of the tripod head, it can cause stitching errors higher up in the image. I’m not sure why this happens, and it certainly doesn’t occur all the time, but I have had some prett...

Re: Exhibition "Kartonismus"

Nicely done! Good capture of an interesting exhibit. Using panning was an interesting way of capturing depth in the 3-d works. Looks like you were able to successfully fix the stitching errors you mentioned in room 4. I couldn’t find any. Rooms like these are very unforgiving when it comes to stitch...

Re: San Gorgonio Wilderness Panoramas

SHjelle: Glad you liked it! I took the pictures using an Olympus Pen-F camera with a 12mm f2 M.Zuiko lens (24 mm equivalent), a Nodal Ninja 3 + Mk II Rotator panorama adaptor, and a Gitzo GT0531 tripod. Typically, about 27 shots go into each panorama but sometimes more when using HDR techniques. The...

Re: Training & Consultancy complex (VTC) in over 60 panos

Nice presentation on an interesting facility! The provided floor plans are a great way to navigate through the complex. I like the narration and the use of background sounds. Here are a couple small things that you may already be aware of. The “You are here” pin that appears in a circular window whe...

I agree it's a bug that needs to be fixed. I'll email the support team today to report the problem.

Thanks again for posting your pair of files. I wouldn't have had any idea of how to troubleshoot this issue without them!

Re: Menu in VR? > Solved by V7!

After troubleshooting the issue further, I have discovered that if I open the problem panoramas in Photoshop and do a “Save As” and uncheck the “ICC Profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1” box in the “Save As” dialog box, then Pano2VR 7 is able to successfully create the thumbnails. So it does appear to be an is...

Re: Menu in VR? > Solved by V7!

By adjusting my PTGui settings, I was able to regenerate one of my test panoramas with the same colorspace setting as your working panorama but that didn't help with the thumbnail issue. Looks like something else is causing the problem.
